Health Stack: Jeni Britton
Each week, we tap our network of health and fitness experts and founders to offer personal insights and recommendations.
This week: Jeni Britton, founder of Floura. Her wellness routine includes long nature run-walks, even in bad weather, and a consistent stack of fiber, protein, folate, magnesium, creatine, and DHEA, finding them essential for both movement and mindfulness. Plus, she hits short, effective 20-minute strength sessions.
On the road, Jeni books hotels near parks or does pushups when stuck inside. "Health is our birthright,” she says. “I never want to lose it" Here’s Jeni to share her favorite products:
Magnesium Supplement: “I take magnesium daily to support relaxation and better sleep. It’s a small habit that makes a big difference, especially when juggling long, high-energy days.”
Oura Ring: “It keeps me in tune with my sleep quality. It even tells me when I’ve had stressful days — helping me to balance periods of stress with restfulness and nature.”
Vitamix: “I rely on a daily smoothie packed with fiber, protein, and good fats to start my mornings strong. It’s quick, customizable, and fuels me through back-to-back calls without a crash.”
Wildly Organic Fermented Cacao Powder: “I like to mix my own hot chocolate (on ice in summer). It starts with wildly fermented cacao powder, which has a sharper flavor. It wakes up my brain in the afternoon, and it lasts a little longer than caffeine.”
Floura: “Floura keeps my gut health in check, helps me feel my best, and fits seamlessly into my daily routine. I travel weekly, and it’s a convenient way to take my high fiber smoothie with me. Now, I can’t go without it.”

Interesting stories we spotted this week →
Record attempt. Three-time Olympic champ Faith Kipyegon goes after history today, aiming to become the first woman to break the 4-minute mile. She’ll need to shave 7.65 seconds off her current world record. Breaking4 streams live from 1:15pm EST on Nike's YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Prime Video. To mark the moment, Nike released a full Faith Kipyegon capsule collection.
Your brain on AI. MIT researchers found that students using AI writing tools showed weaker brain activity than those writing solo. Over time, those relying on AI perform worse cognitively, behaviorally, and even linguistically. And the problem compounds — users get lazier with each subsequent essay and struggle to recall what they wrote. The takeaway: Cognitive offloading today could mean mental decline tomorrow.
Strength marker. Research tracking over 50k adults aged 50+ across 15 countries found that difficulty lifting just 11 pounds strongly predicts future health problems. Nearly 20% couldn't lift the modest weight, and over four years, they showed dramatically higher risks for depression, low quality of life, and osteoarthritis, plus elevated risks for heart attack, diabetes, and stroke.
Screens vs. mental health. New findings from over 11k children aged 9-12 found more time on social media led to more depressive symptoms, but not the other way around. The study concludes that early intervention and mindful usage patterns during the critical 10-13 age window may help protect mental health.
Coffee’s longevity link. A 30-year study of nearly 50k women found midlife coffee drinkers were more likely to live into their 70s without major chronic conditions. The sweet spot: ~315mg caffeine/day. Notably, tea and decaf showed no longevity benefits, while soda consumption was associated with 20-26% lower odds of healthy aging.
