Health Stack: Baran Dilaver

Each week, we tap our network of health and fitness experts to offer personal insights and recommendations.

This week: Baran Dilaver, co-founder of longevity startup Wonderfeel Biosciences. Baran maintains a consistent fitness routine of short, 5-minute stretching sessions in the morning and outdoor activities — like running, swimming, hiking, or cycling — in the evening. “Right before dinner, I do a short strength-training session using resistance bands," he adds.

Here’s Baran to share his Health Stack:

  • VEICK Resistance Bands: “Resistance bands are practical: they're inexpensive, portable, and allow you to work many muscle groups. What I especially like about them is that they're much gentler on the body than weights.”

  • Supplements & Wonderfeel Youngr NMN: “My top choice is Wonderfeel Youngr NMN. I also rotate through other supplements, such as magnesium (especially glycinate before bed), citicoline for focus, AKG, TMG (betaine), and extra D3 when I don't get enough sun.”

  • O Brand Olive Oil: “Hardly a day goes by without a beautiful salad featuring one constant ingredient: polyphenol-rich organic olive oil, like the O Brand, which some Costco’s sell at reasonable prices.”

  • Apple Watch: “As many sleep experts have noted, measuring and monitoring sleep can increase stress. I found that even when I woke up feeling refreshed, my Oura ring would often suggest otherwise, advising me to rest, which was demotivating. So I recently ditched my Oura and I’ve been much happier and more productive since I stopped checking my sleep score every morning. I do however like the heart rate and heart rate variability functions of the Apple Watch.”

  • Wholesome Allulose: “For those with a sweet tooth, allulose is a fantastic sugar alternative that doesn't involve sucrose, fructose, stevia, or sugar alcohols. And it tastes just like sugar! The best part? It won't spike your blood sugar levels, making it a great option even for people with diabetes. I’ve been using the Wholesome brand of allulose.”

On Our Radar

Interesting stories we spotted this week →

Mixed signals. Researchers found that consumers distrust “healthy” food labels, associating them with poor taste and low quality. While the FDA debates new labels, simply telling people what to eat isn't helping. Turns out, time to cook and cost of whole foods — not nutrition knowledge — are the real barriers to behavior change.

Move it. Only 27% of women meet strength training guidelines despite evidence that resistance work prevents menopause-related bone loss. Cardio is great, but simple bodyweight moves like squats and pushups can keep bones strong — no gym membership required.

Form fix. Nike's new NSRL Form uses 10 high-speed cameras to analyze your stride and create a "biomechanical fingerprint." This lab-grade tech assesses how you move, from head to toe. Sure, Nike is using it to sell more shoes, but it could also help fix your running form.

On the Clock. This AI-powered app can predict when you’ll die — at least that’s what it claims. The Death Clock analyzes 53 million data points — like diet, exercise, stress levels, and sleep—to calculate mortality. A wake-up call, users are making healthier choices to keep the clock from running out.
