This week: Mike Feldstein. With a background in wildfire restoration and air quality consulting, Mike launched Jaspr, makers of advanced air purifiers. His approach to wellness prioritizes subtraction over addition. Oil check. The Seed Oil Safe certification aims to simplify grocery shopping for health-conscious consumers by guaranteeing products are free from seed oils, artificial sweeteners, gums, and other ultra-processed ingredients. The program already includes brands like SideDish and Jesse and Ben's. Also on the lookout, the Seed Oil Free Certification offers independent lab testing to verify seed oil-free products.
Fitness revolution. The NYT detailed the decade between 1972 and 1982 when Americans took up jogging, Jazzercise, yoga, and weight training, led by pioneers like Jane Fonda and Arnold Schwarzenegger. It’s a fascinating look at the fitness revolution that still influences how we move today.
Think ahead. Dementia rates are projected to double by 2060, with 1M US adults developing the disease each year. But, up to 45% of cases could be prevented through healthy habits like managing blood pressure, staying social, not smoking, and avoiding alcohol.
After hours. Nike announced a first-of-its-kind women's race series that flips the script on traditional events. The 2025 After Dark Tour will light up six major cities – Sydney, Shanghai, Seoul, Mumbai, Los Angeles, and Mexico City – with nighttime 10Ks and half-marathons designed to blend running, nightlife, and community.

Launching April 12 in Sydney, each race weekend features expert guidance, recovery zones, and post-race celebrations. "It's about more than crossing a finishing line – it's about joining a community that supports and uplifts you," says Nike VP Seema Simmons.
Just Dropped: Floura’s Fruit Crush Bars
Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams founder Jeni Britton launched Floura, transforming watermelon rinds and apple cores into fiber-packed Fruit Crush Bars. Each bar delivers 13g of fiber from 12 whole plants, in unique flavors like Brambleberry Lavender and Mango Cardamom.
